Jernej Babnik Romaniuk se osredotoča na lokacijska zvočna/glasbena snemanja ter post-produkcijo svobodne improvizacije, nekonvencionalne glasbe in dokumentarno-terenskih posnetkov. Prav tu je našel neizčrpni vir, ki ga nenehno navdihuje in žene v odkrivanje novih, svežih pristopov zvočnega zajemanja in obdelave - in s tem predstavljanja takšne glasbe in zvočnosti bodočim poslušalcem...
Je vodja zavoda Murmur, kjer med drugim skrbi za glasbene serije Spaces/Prostori, Veprah in Zvočne sledi Slovenije. Občasno deluje kot glasbenik, ponekod pod psevdonimom Arne Banki. Ukvarja se tudi s fotografijo, grafičnim oblikovanjem in sorodnimi pritiklinami.

Jernej Babnik Romaniuk has been dedicated to creative activities from an early age - natural tendency toward visual and graphic design was soon expanded with love and passion for (unusual) music and everything that revolves around it. He combined both disciplines in sound design, which has been his main focus for the last decade.
He gravitates toward location recording and post-production of free improvisation, unconventional music and documentary field recordings. It is here that he has found an inexhaustible source that constantly inspires and pushes him to discover new, fresh approaches to sound capture and processing - and thus to present such music and sounds to future audiences.
He is the president of Murmur Institute, where he is, among other things, responsible for the music series Spaces, Veprah and also upcoming Sound Traces of Slovenia. He occasionally acts as a musician, sometimes under the pseudonym Arne Banki. He is also involved in photography, graphic design and its accoutrements.
